Outfit of the Day

An OOTD post today.

I thought I'd share this pretty dress I recently got from TK Maxx. It's got an awesome floral print and I really like the colour. The sleeves on the dress are also a plus!

I hadn't brought any clothes from TK Maxx before this dress, although I am a fan of their bags. I saw this and I wasn't sure it'd fit me, I have gained a lot of weight recently. Luckily it's fine!  I was also surprised at how nice the changing rooms are there!

The dress is by Ged London and was only £10! I I just wore it with my usual black tights and shoes, both from Primark.

I know this isn't a really interesting post but I'm really enjoying photographing things at the moment. You can get some quite nice ones now spring is here. Here's some of my most recent attempts! Most of these I took on Monday when it was nice and sunny.

Pictures from my week

I thought it'd be cool to do this. I'm really bad at keeping a diary regularly but I'd quite like to be able to look back and see what I was doing at a certain time. So here's a few pictures from my week!

I've recently really got into taking random pictures of anything really. On Monday I took this on the walk home.

Here's a picture of my cat that I took while waiting for a package on Tuesday. I can't believe how big he's got! :')

I was coming home in the evening on Wednesday and the sky just looked really nice. Unfortunately the picture doesn't show it too clearly but I thought I'd show you anyway.

I was in Primark with my friend on Saturday and we were near the children's department. My friend got really excited when she saw mannequins of children and so we took selfies with them! (Yes we are a bit strange).

Also on Saturday I was in a shoe shop when I saw these massive Homer Simpson slippers.

This shoe shop, (Deichman), has a mixture of awesome and bizarre things. There was also this 'shoe tree', with anti bacterial properties. Now it might be a really useful product but I'd just never seen anything like it before.

Primark Haul

Here are my recent purchases from Primark. I should feel more guilty about this but some of it I genuinely needed and the rest... well they were cheap!

First off is something I've been putting off buying for a while, which is a new bag I can use for college. I wasn't prepared to spend alot but almost everything I liked was just too small. I ended up buying this brown one from Primark. It's not my usual style at all but I like it well enough and it was only £12. I just hope it lasts!

I also got this black cardigan for £10. A long cardigan is another thing I've wanted for a while but not got round to buying. I plan to wear this when it's a bit windy, in the hope it will help to stop my dress flying up!

This t shirt I'd seen a couple of times without buying but I finally picked it up the other day. I don't usually wear t shirts but I've already worn this out and had a compliment on my outfit! This was £3.

I also got this purple long sleeved top for £3.50

Lastly is two pairs of shoes. The black ones are so pretty and sparkly and cost £5. I also brought grey uggs, which I know won't be everyone's style but I quite like them. They were in the sale for only £3 and I thought they'd be good for next winter.

Select Lace Dresses

The dresses in Select are always really pretty. I've been spending a lot of time on their website recently and there are loads I'd like (if I had the money!).

Here are some of my favourites.

Firstly is this coral lace dress, which is only £12.99. I love lace dresses, I have quite a few and always want more. The ones I have from Select are lasting really well, they get worn a lot but still look new. I also have a few few from Primark, which are also really pretty but I've found on a couple of them the lace is starting to fray.

Also there's this really nice blue lace dress. I really want to get into wearing brighter colours for the summer. This is £14.

Now if you've read my other posts you'll know I really have a thing for florals at the minute. That makes this next dress absolutely perfect as it has lace and floral print!

There's also a  white version which I already have and plan on wearing tomorrow. Now I just have to work out whether skin coloured tights look decent on me or not...

Both these dresses are £14.99.

H&M Floral Purchases

H&M is fast becoming my favourite store.
There's just so much in there at the moment that I want, especially skirts. This week I brought a lovely grey floral skirt and a top with the same pattern. They also had a dress in the same design, which I'm eying up!

The skirt was £12.99

And the jumper was £9.99. I actually wore this the other day and found it a perfect spring piece. It's quite light but still warm enough that I'm not slowly turning into an icecube when wearing it. I paired it wwith a grey skirt, also from H&M but that I've had since last summer.

There were a few other things in there that I really want, including a black and pink floral skirt. (Have you noticed my slight obsession with florals!)

Floral Hi-Tops

I was in town with my friend yesterday and my shoe fell apart. My toe came right through the top! It was only a pair of Primark flats I'd had for months but I realised I really need new shoes.

I've been a bit bad this past week as I've been feeling a bit down and have been relying on retail therapy. Luckily it seems to have worked!

Yesterday I brought these awesome floral shoes from Select. Their not what I'd usually wear, as I've mainly been sticking to boots or ballet flats recently but I couldn't resist these. I'm definitely wearing them tomorrow with my lovely new floral jumper from h&m. (Haul post coming soon!)

Pretty Gifts - Floral and Hello Kitty!

I've mentioned my love of mugs before. Primark do some really nice thermal ones for only £2.50. My mum recently brought this pretty floral one for herself but when she saw how much I loved it she gave it to me and brought herself another. :D

I was also given this really pretty Hello Kitty necklace. They were selling them in Avon, with different designs for each star sign. I'm a Gemini so I have cute little twin Kittys!

It also came in a nice little box.

I've been wearing this alot recently. Avon actually do some really nice jewelry and I think I'll be ordering some next time I get a new brochure.

Has anyone else got any nice jewelry from Avon recently?

New Cat Toy

I love my cat. Alot.

Of course that means he needs to be spoiled. Recently he was lucky enough to get this toy from Amazon. I didn't realise how big it would be when I brought it but my cat certainly loves it!

The toy is sort of like a circle with a ball inside and then there's a pom pom type ball that sticks up on a spring.

For such a lazy cat he certainly gets a lot of use out of this toy. He's obsessed with trying to get  the ball loose and generally being as destructive as possible.

After he's finished playing he's usually so tired he doesn't mind how much I cuddle him!

But look what he does when I actually try and revise...

Outfit post - Floral Velvet Skirt

Today I wore a skirt I brought from Select a while back. I've only worn it twice but I really like it. It's velvet with a flower print and the material feels awesome, my friends kept trying to stroke it, which actually got a bit weird after a while.

I wore this with a plain black top from Primark which I think was only about £3. Select also had a dress version of this skirt, which I really wanted but when I went back for it, strangely it had disappeared. :(

A really good thing is that round here the weather is getting alot better, it was actually sunny today! That means spring fashion. :D

Outfit of the Day

Today I thought I'd do an outfit post.  I find it really hard to get pictures so I'm sorry for the quality.

This is what I'm wearing today. It's a dress I got last summer from this shop in my town that sells everything for £5. Well it did, I'm pretty sure it's closed down now :(. I think the clothes there were pretty hit and miss. There were some really good bargins but also some not so good quality things. Seriously though the shoes there were amazing. I have a pair of sandals that lasted three summers of heavy wear.

This dress seems to be really good quality. I've worn it loads of times and it's not showing any signs of wear and tear. I really like the length, just above the knee which I think suits me better than shorter dresses.

The pattern on it is perfume bottles although my friend thought that they were hamburgers!

I'm wearing this dress with a shrug that I got from primark years and years ago. I'd like to buy more shrugs soon, I don't really like showing my upper arms and I've mainly been covering them with jackets all winter. Luckily though it's getting warmer so I won't be doing that much longer :D

I'm definetly going to try and do more outfit posts guys.

Poundland and Tiger buys

Hi guys

The other day I was in town and went into Poundland. I'm a student and the time is coming where revision is needed...

It was the perfect excuse to buy some new notebooks which I used be addicted to collecting. Poundland had lot's and I chose this black one with a nice silky cover. I brought two of these.

I've actually already filled about a quarter of one with notes. I just hope I actually remember them in the exam!

I also needed to get a birthday card so I picked up this cute cat one.

And I also found these little Emery boards which I admit to buying just because of the cat theme...

I went into Tiger afterwards. I'm not sure how many places have a branch of this store but  it's a really cool place that sells really random things. I went in there because I remembered seeing tins to save money in. I'm just starting to really save up money for next year so thought that a cool new tin might help keep me motivated. I had to look really hard for this because they'd moved some stuff around since the last time I'd been there but I found it eventually. This was £2.

I only had one impulse buy while there and it was this notebook that was  just too pretty to leave. It was £2.
