Christmas Robin

Hey guys!
Just a quick post today but I really wanted to show you this cute little decoration I got at the weekend. In a cafe, near where I was staying in East London, they had a few stalls selling home made items. Among them was this  decoration for £3.50 which I'll definitely be putting on my tree this weekend! Its hard to believe its that time of year already. There were lots of other nice things I'd really like to have bought but I am on a budget nowadays. Why is saving so hard?!

Sunset

I took these pictures when I was walking home today. It was only around 3:40 but the sun was already setting. I just thought it looked really awesome and with a bit of filtering the colours and contrast looked even more amazing!

Photographs from Brighton

At the weekend, I went to stay in Brighton for a couple of days. The weather on the first day was amazing but it didn't last! I still managed to get some nice pictures though and it was really nice to be by the sea after so long. The sea gulls were so bold! They ate food right off the tables outside cafes and didn't even flinch when someone walked right by them. I did buy some traditinal seaside rock (how could I not?!) but I ate it before I had the chance to get a picture *blush face*.

Have you been anywhere nice so far this summer?

Poundland Buys

Poundland has had a lot of good stuff in recently. I love buying nail polishes from there as you can often find well known brands such as Revlon for only a pound. Recently I've also picked up a couple of other bits from there such as this cool floral mirror. I like this as it's very magnifying which is useful (but also sometimes shows you things a bit too clearly!).

I also needed a new makeup bag, especially because I'm going away overnight  more often now. I found this one last week and had to buy it. I love both the colour and the pattern. However it is a bit small for my needs and only just about holds my stuff. I love it though!

Have you found any good bargains in the Pound store recently?

Outfit of the day - Mint Dress

Hi guys

I got this dress from Select a few weeks go for £14 and I've already worn it a few times. I also included it in my last haul, which I only realised after finishing this post!.  It's mint green lace, with a sweetheart neckline. I did have a comment that it made me look like I was going to a party in the middle of the day but I don't really mind!

The length of this dress is perfect. It comes to just above my knees, which is nice for warm but windy days! I'm continuing my effort to be more summery this year as previously I've just worn the same things all year round.

I wore this with plain white ballet pumps, that have become a staple for me. The shrug I'm wearing is from Amazon. I get a lot of shrugs from there as lots of nice dresses are sleeveless and I don't feel confident showing my upper arms just yet!

Hasn't the weather been great as well. It seems to have got warmer all of a sudden and people have switched straight from winter coats to summer clothes. (Although I have seen a few people still in coats which must be absolutely sweltering!)

Abney Park Cemetery

At the weekend I visited Abney Park Cemetery. In case you haven't heard of it, it's one of the 'magnificent seven' Victorian cemeteries in London. The cemetery is also important as it is a nature reserve and houses many different species. It is located in Stoke Newington, Hackney.

Originally it was formed from the grounds of two houses. This was a non conformist cemetery which would take people from any religious denomination. There is also a chapel which I didn't get a close look at.

Now I know that this might not be everyone's idea of fun but I found it really interesting. It was a lovely sunny morning and walking around you'd never guess you were in North London! The birds were singing and there were lots of pretty butterflies. I did feel a bit nervous as it felt quite isolated but I was fine! While there I encountered a large group of football fans who were going to see that big match that was on. (I know nothing about football!).

I found that the cemetery is quite overgrown, which added to the atmosphere, however some of the headstones were in quite bad condition which was a bit sad. Lots still look well maintained however and there were some amazing statues. here are some pictures that I took.

Amazing Primark Bargain

It's been a crazy month. I've been dealing with some personal stuff and now it's exam time so I'm busy actually revising for once. No more laziness for me! I actually had an English exam yesterday and I think it went okay (or the first half did!).

Last week was one of my good friends 18th birthday. Me and another friend got together and brought her a couple of things and one was this awesome black and white floral dress from Primark.

I brought this same dress for myself last summer for £13 and I knew my friend liked it. When in Primark last week I saw this on the sale rack  for only £2. Yep that's right £2! The man at the till couldn't believe it, he was telling us about another customer who had made three grand buying cheap Primark clothes and reselling them for more on ebay!

Also the week before that I was in the Oxford Street Primark. I barely had any money but I wanted to get something nice (retail therapy),  I then saw this lovely grey dress on the sale rack. At first I could only see the smaller sizes so I was chuffed when I found this one, in my size, hidden away. It was reduced from £15 to only £7! I thought that was a good enough bargain but when I got to the tills the woman there gave me an extra 10% off as the belt that was meant to come with the dress was missing. As it was only the standard brown belt that was meant to come with the dress, I already have several spare ones to pair with this if I want! So overall this dress only cost me £6.30, which is less than half the original price.
